Remove Alkaline Battery Corrosion

Oh No! Its happened to us all. You go to use a remote or change the batteries and when you take the back off, Bam, nothing but white corrosion everywhere. Yep, It happened to me today when I went to use my wireless mouse. Well, the good news, if its not too bad, it can be fixed, really easy. Heres How.

Heres what you will need:

Vinegar
An Old Toothbrush

First remove the corroded batteries.

Take the toothbrush and dip in the vinegar, but dont leave it dripping, you dont want any extra to get inside of the device.

Vinegar removes the acid corrosion so you might have to do it a couple of times, if the corrosion is really bad, it might not be able to be removed, but the vinegar does really good at removing most of it.

Next, Wipe it dry to remove any excess and other corrosion.

Now, your remote, mouse, or device should be fine to work and add new batteries. :) Hope that works
